Eastern Iowa Visiting Nurses and Home Health Care, LLC offers many different services, bringing to patients and families a vast range of skills and knowledge. The team consists of the following members.

  • Personal Physician - The Patient's personal physician continues his or her relationship with the patient and participates by directing the home health care. All services are provided under physicians' orders.
  • Nursing staff - are highly skilled in assessment and reporting of troublesome symptoms and performing nursing tasks and care. They also serve as teachers, instructing on patient care, medication regimes and blood draws and IV therapy in the home.
  • Physical Therapists - evaluate and develop exercise programs in the home for patients recovering from illnessess that have affected their strength and mobility.
  • Occupational Therapy - Occupational Therapists evaluate and develop exercise programs in the home for patients whose self-care skills have been affected by their illness. This helps the patient get back, if possible, lost self-care skills, and to provide physical medical equipment to assist the patient in accomplishing this.
  • Speech Therapy - Speech Therapists help by providing instruction on how to improve speech and thinking skills that may have been altered by illness.
  • Social Workers - Understanding the stress that patients and families often feel, social workers can provide assistance to resolve emotional, psychological and financial concerns that patients and families may have. They also coordinate and refer patients to neded community resources.
  • Home Health Aide - Home health aides provide personal care which may include bathing, oral hygiene, changing bed linens, and helping the patient with mobility.
