CRYSTAL LITE LEMON PIE (3-1-00) Top of page

3 cups milk
2 4 serving size instant vanilla pudding
8 oz. tub cool whip, thawed
1 small container crystal lite (use dry)

Mix together and pour into a ready made graham cracker crust. Chill 4 hours in refrigerator.

SUGAR COOKIE (Kristina Kelly's 2-26-00) 3-1-00

1 cup margarine/butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
¼ tsp. salt
2 tsps. vanilla
5 cups flour
2 tsps. baking soda
2 tsps. cream of tartar

Cream the moist, add the dry, drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Press with bottom of glass coated with sugar. Also can roll into balls and coat with sugar and press with decorated molds for design. Bake 350° 10 minutes.

KITTY LITTER CAKE (8-16-97) 3-1-00

1 white cake mix
1 spice cake mix
2 ( 6 oz.) boxes vanilla pudding
Green food coloring
1 (16 oz) pkg. white sandwich cookies
1 (new) kitty litter box
1 (new) pooper scooper
1 pkg. mini Tootsie Rolls

Bake both cakes as directed; cool. Make pudding as directed. Smash cookies; set aside all but 1 c. of crumbs. Drizzle food coloring over top of crumbs and mix with a fork (the cup). Crumble cakes into litter box. Mix with ½ of remaining cookies and pudding. Bury ½ of the Tootsie Rolls in the cake. Sprinkle rest of cookie crumbs on top. Sprinkle green crumbs over that. Place rest of Tootsie Rolls on top of green crumbs. Keep refrigerated. Serve with the pooper scooper.

½ cup shortening (margarine)
1 cup scalded milk
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup sugar
2 packages of yeast
2 eggs, well beaten
4 cups sifted flour
4 tablespoons melted butter

Add shortening to hot milk. Add salt and sugar and stir until dissolved. Cool to lukewarm. Sprinkle yeast over milk mixture. Add beaten eggs. Stir in flour, mixing well. Beat or whip with wooden spoon for 3 to 5 minutes. Let rise until double, then punch down. Let rise again. Roll out on floured bread board to ¼ inch thick. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up like jelly roll. Slice into 1 inch pieces. Bake at 400° until done (time not given.) (webmaster note: we thought that the melted butter would be put on the rolls before sprinkling the cinnamon and sugar on top so it will stick)

POTATO SOUP IN A JAR (1-29-99) 3-1-00

1¾ cups instant mashed potatoes
1½ cups dried milk
2 tbsps. instant chicken bouillon
2 tsps. dried minced onion
1 tsp. dried parsley
¼ tsp. ground white pepper
¼ tsp. dried thyme
1/8 tsp. turmeric
1½ tsp. seasoning salt

Combine all ingredients in a bowl; mix well. Put ingredients in a 1 quart jar. On gift tag: Place ½ cup mix in soup bowl; add 1 cup of boiling water; stir until smooth.

Potato Soup In A Jar Variations: 3-2-00

Add bacon bits or cheese.

QUICK & EASY FRUIT SALAD (1-10-00) 3-2-00

1 can peach or apricot pie filling
2 cans 15 oz. each fruit cocktail, drained
1 20 oz. can  pineapple chunks, drained
1 15 oz. can  mandarin oranges, drained
2 medium firm bananas, peeled and sliced

In a large bowl combine pie filling and canned fruit. Cover and refrigerate. Stir in bananas just before serving. Can add red grapes, mini marshmallows, nuts. Serves 14.

ORANGE SAUCE BEETS 3-2-00

3 tbsps. sugar
1½ tsps. corn starch
sprinkle salt
½ cup orange juice
1 tbsp. margarine
1 can sliced cooked beets

Mix altogether all but beets. Cook till thick and add margarine drain the beets. Add beets and heat through. Can do same thing for carrots.

HAM DEVILED EGGS (4-99) 3-2-00

6 large hard cooked eggs
2 tbsps. mayonnaise or salad dressing
2 tbsps. cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. lemon juice
3 tbsps. finely chopped, cooked ham
2¼ tsps. fresh dill weed
½ tsp. caraway seed
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese

Combine all ingredients except the cheddar cheese. Roll into small balls, then roll in cheese to coat. Keep refrigerated.

BENNIGAN'S ULTIMATE BAKED POTATO SOUP (from magazine) (12-28-99) 3-2-00

3 lbs. potatoes, scrubbed and pierced
1 tbsps. stick butter or margarine
1½ cups finely chopped onions
2 tbsps. minced garlic
1 - 14½ oz. can chicken broth
3 cups milk
1 tsps. salt
¼ tsps. pepper

Bake potatoes at 400 degrees for 1 hour or until tender when pierced. Peel when cool enough to handle. Melt butter in a 4- to 6-quart pot over medium low heat. Stir in onions and garlic, cover and cook 10 minutes until soft but not brown. Add 2/3 of the potatoes and mash with a potato masher. Add broth, milk, salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Cut remaining potatoes in small cubes. Add to soup and stir gently to reheat. Yields 8 1 cup servings or 4 main dish servings. Topping can include shredded cheese, turkey bacon, chopped scallions.

Household Hint: 3-2-00

To stop bees, gnats and ants spray with heavy duty hair spray. Then you can just pick up. Also takes out ink too in clothes.

1 c. plus 2 T. non fat dry milk
¾ c. sugar
½ c. hot water

Dissolve sugar in hot water. Cool. Add powdered milk, mix until smooth. (Use blender)

SUPER BOWL HOT PIZZA DIP (1-27-00) 3-3-00

1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. Italian or pizza seasoning
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
8 oz. can pizza sauce
2 tbsps. chopped green pepper, optional
2 tbsps. thinly sliced green onion, optional

Cream the cream cheese and Italian or pizza seasoning and spread in a microwave safe pan. Combine mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, and sprinkle ½ of it on top the cream cheese. Top with pizza sauce and remaining cheese. Add the green pepper, green onion. Microwave on high 3-4 minutes turning 2 times until cheese is somewhat melted. Let stand 2 minutes. Can Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

SAND ART BROWNIES (12-28-98) 3-3-00

In a 1 quart wide mouth jar, layer the following:
½ tsp. salt
½ cup plus 2 tbsp. flour
1/3 cup cocoa
½ cup flour
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup sugar
½ cup chocolate chips
½ cup white chocolate chips
Walnuts or pecans to fill jar

Put a gift tag on jar with these instructions: Combine contents of jar with 1 tsp. vanilla, 2/3 cup oil, and 3 eggs. Mix ingredients well and pour into a greased 9x9" pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

SOFT SANDWICH BREAD (Bread Machine (2-4-00) 3-3-00

1 cup water
¼ cup butter/margarine, softened
1 egg
2 tbsps. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 cups bread flour
¼ cup dry milk powder
2 tsps. quick rise bread machine yeast

Layer in machine in order given; bake per machine directions.

CREAM CHEESE DANISH (from Mr. Food) 3-4-00

2 8 oz. cans refrigerated crescent rolls
1 large egg, separated
2 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
¾ cup chopped pecans, optional
sifted powdered sugar, optional

Preheat oven 375°. Unroll 1 pkg. crescent rolls and press into a 9x13" greased pan to cover the bottom. Beat egg yolk, cream cheese, lemon juice. Pour over dough in pan. Unroll 2nd pkg. crescent rolls on wax paper and press or roll out. Put on top of cream cheese mixture and peel off wax paper. Whip egg white and brush over top dough. Sprinkle on chopped pecans. Bake 375° 25 minutes. Let cool and sprinkle on sifted powdered sugar.

1 can 12 or 14¾ oz. can salmon, drained 12 oz. is boned and skinned 14¾ oz.

1/3 cup finely chopped onion
1 egg
5 saltine cracker, crushed
½ tsp. WOR sauce
¼ tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. butter/margarine

Mix first 7 ingredients in a bowl. Shape into 6 patties. Fry in skillet with butter 3-4 minutes on each side until heated through.

SOUR CREAM DROP SUGAR COOKIE (2-19-00) 3-4-00

1½ cups sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda (add to sour cream)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. lemon extract (optional)
½ tsp. nutmeg
+ or - 4 cups flour

Stir altogether. Leave in refrigerator overnight. Drop by teaspoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet. Press ball of dough with greased and sugared glass bottom. Bake 350° 12-15 minutes.

ADDITIONS TO BEER BREAD (from 2-28-00 recipe) 3-4-00

½ cup thinly sliced scallions and or 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

CHOCOLATE TART (Beth from Tea and Treasures) Chocolate Fest ArJay Center (2-2-00) 3-4-00

Tart Shell:

1 cup flour
1 stick melted margarine

Stir flour into margarine until it makes a soft ball take the dough and make marble sized pieces put it in mini muffin pans. Press it into bottom and sides of mini muffin pan with a tart press or press with thumb. Bake 350° 15-18 minutes.

Filling:

8 oz. cream cheese, creamed
8 oz. whipped cream
½ of a 3 oz. pkg. instant chocolate pudding
1 cup Half n' Half
3 tbsps. cocoa
1 cup powdered sugar

Mix thoroughly and put in pastry bag or a plastic bag with a corner snipped off and fill cooled tart shell. Refrigerate.

EASY DESSERT 3-4-00

1 pkg. of fudge striped cookies, crushed
1 container cool whip partially thawed
1 can fruit cocktail, drained

Mix together and refrigerate.

Tip: take tar out of clothing with lighter fluid. For other stains also try lighter fluid, Axion or Fantastic. If these don't work it won't come out. 3-4-00

APRICOT OAT NUT SNACK MIX (1-21-00) 3-4-00

3 cups old fashioned rolled oats
2 cups quick cooking oats
2 tsps. cinnamon
½ tsp. nutmeg
2 cups coarsely chopped almonds
½ cup raw sunflower seeds
5 tbsps. Canola oil
¾ cup honey, melted
1 cup diced dried apricots
½ cup chopped dates
½ cup golden or regular raisins

Preheat oven 325°. Combine all ingredients and toss to coat well. Spread on 2 parchment lined jelly roll pans. Bake 20 minutes. Stir thoroughly. Bake watching carefully till it starts to turn brown. Take out and cool. Store in airtight containers.

M&M DREAM BARS (8-2-99) 3-6-00 Top of page

2 cups oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1½ cups flour
½ cup coconut
½ tsp. salt
1 cup melted margarine
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup peanut butter
1 cup M&M's
1 cup chocolate chips

Combine first 6 ingredients; mix well and add the margarine, stirring just until moist: reserve 1½ cups of crumbs for a topping. Press the rest of the crumbs into bottom of a greased 9x13" pan. Bake at 375° to 12 minutes. Combine the sweetened condensed milk with the peanut butter; spread over baked crust. Sprinkle on the M&M's and chocolate chips. Sprinkle on the reserved crumbs and press down slightly. Bake 15-20 minutes more. Cool the bars before cutting.

TACO SOUP (1-21-00) 3-6-00

1 can white hominy
1 can kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can yellow corn
1 can spiced tomatoes
1 pound ground meat drained
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 pkg. ranch dressing mix
shredded cheese
tortilla or corn chips

Drain cans (except tomatoes), pour contents into crock pot, add tomatoes, meat, taco seasoning, and ranch dressing mix to crockpot. Cook until blended and heated through and serve with shredded cheese and chips.

Tips to get melted plastic bags off toaster. 3-6-00

Get toaster a little warm, use plastic scratch pad and rub it. Repeat if necessary.

Lighter fluid.

Salad oil and elbow grease.

Vaseline and rub gently with paper towels.

1 pkg. dry active yeast
½ tsp. salt
2 cups unsifted all purpose flour
2 cups warm water
½ tsp. sugar

In large bowl, dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water, blend in salt, sugar, 1 cup flour. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand in warm place for 12 hours. Each day for the next 4 days, blend in ¼ cup warm water, ¼ cup flour. Cover bowl let stand. After 4 days, let dough rest 2 more days. Transfer to another container with tight lid, refrigerate until needed. If dough is not used after 1 week, stir in ¼ cup water
and ¼ cup flour.

BANANA ORANGE BREAD (nov/dec97pg1) 3-11-00

2 cups flour
1½ tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup smashed ripe banana (2 large)
1 (6 oz) frozen unsweetened orange juice, thawed
2 eggs
1 cup raisins
1 cup nuts, chopped (optional)

Sift dry ingredients. Mix banana, orange juice and eggs. Stir in raisins and nuts. Add dry just until moistened. Pour in a greased loaf pan. Bake 350° for 40 minutes or until tests done. Cool 5-10 minutes before removing from pan.

CROUTON TIPS (sep/oct87pg5) 3-11-00

Put 2 slices of bread in toaster. Brown. Butter both sides with margarine. Add spices, such as garlic or onion salt. Dice after spicing. Put in microwave. Longer time results in a harder crouton.

Cut bread into ½ inch cubes Spread in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until cubes are dry and golden brown. (Each slice makes ¾ cup croutons).

4 slices bread. Cut into ½ inch cubes. Spread in a shallow baking pan. Stir 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder into 3 tablespoons butter or margarine. Drizzle over cubes and toss to coat. Bake at 300° for 30 minutes. Store covered in the refrigerator.

SPICY CABBAGE SOUP (1-3-98) 3-11-00

2 lbs ground beef or turkey (beef can be browned)
1 medium onion, diced
1 small head cabbage, chopped
1 can cream of cheese soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can Libby Ro-Tel spiced tomatoes

Place ingredients in crockpot and cook 6-8 hours on medium.

CHEESY POTATO SOUP (may/jun90pg3) 3-11-00

6 cups chopped potatoes
2 cups water
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped carrots
½ cup chopped onion
2 tsps. parsley flakes
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
3 cups milk
4 tbsps. flour
1 lb. processed cheese, cubed

In large pan, combine first 9 ingredients. Cover pan. simmer 15-20 minutes, until vegetables are tender. Gradually blend flour into milk. Add milk to vegetables. Cook until thickened. Add cheese, stir until melted.

BEEF AND GUINNESS STEW (foodtv.com website)  3-11-00

2 pounds stewing beef
3 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons flour
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Pinch of cayenne
2 large onions, coarsely chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
2 tablespoons tomato puree, dissolved in 4 tablespoons water
1 1/4 cups Guinness
2 cups largely diced carrots
Sprig of fresh thyme
Chopped parsley, for garnish

Trim the meat of any fat or gristle, and cut into 2 inch cubes. Toss be with 1 tablespoon of the oil. In a small bowl, season the flour with salt, pepper, and cayenne. Toss meat with seasoned flour. Heat remaining 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over high heat. Brown the meat on all sides. Reduce the heat, add the onions, crushed garlic and tomato puree to the skillet, cover, and cook gently for 5 minutes. Transfer the contents of the skillet to a casserole and pour half of the Guinness into the skillet. Bring Guinness to a boil and stir to dissolve the caramelized meat juices on the pan. Pour over the meat, along with the remaining Guinness. Add the carrots and thyme. Stir and adjust seasonings. Cover the casserole and  simmer over low heat, or in a 300° oven until the meat is tender, 2 to 3 hours.
Garnish the beef with parsley and serve.

CORNED BEEF AND CABBAGE 3-11-00

3-4 pounds corned beef, washed
2 potatoes, peeled and diced
2 carrots, peeled and diced
2 wedges cabbage

Put beef in pot. Cover with seasonings packet and water. Simmer until tender, about 3-4 hours, then remove. Put remaining ingredients in same pot. Cook until tender. Put beef back in pot with other mixture and heat through. Serve.

M&M DREAM BARS (8-2-99) 3-11-00

2 cups oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1½ cups flour
½ cup coconut
½ tsp. salt
1 cup melted margarine
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup peanut butter
1 cup M&M's
1 cup chocolate chips

Combine first 6 ingredients; mix well and add the margarine, stirring just until moist: reserve 1½ cups of crumbs for a topping. Press the rest of the crumbs into bottom of a greased 9x13" pan. Bake at 375° to 12 minutes. Combine the sweetened condensed milk with the peanut butter; spread over baked crust. Sprinkle on the M&M's and chocolate chips. Sprinkle on the reserved crumbs and press down
slightly. Bake 15-20 minutes more. Cool the bars before cutting.

SEARED SALMON WITH HORSERADISH MUSTARD VINAIGRETTE (3-11-00 foodtv.com Adapted from a recipe by Gourmet Magazine.) 3-11-00

4 (6 ounce) pieces of salmon fillet
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
6 tablespoon olive oil
4 teaspoons white wine vinegar
4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
4 teaspoons drained bottled horseradish
2 tablespoons freshly chopped herbs, i.e. parsley, tarragon, chervil and/or chives

Pat salmon dry and coat with salt and pepper. In a heavy skillet heat 2 tablespoons of oil over moderately high heat until hot but not smoking and sear salmon, skin side down, 5 minutes. Reduce heat to moderately low. Turn salmon and cook 4 minutes more, or until it just flakes. While salmon is cooking, in a small bowl whisk together vinegar, mustard, horseradish, remaining 4 tablespoons oil, and salt and pepper to taste until emulsified. Serve vinaigrette over salmon.
Yield: 4 servings

KAREN'S TATER TOT CASSEROLE (8-11-99) 3-11-00

1 lb hamburger - brown & drain with salt & pepper to taste
Press into bottom of 9x13" pan
1 can of cream of mushroom soup - spread over hamburger
1 can of french cut green beans, drained - pour over hamburger and soup
1 more can of cream of mushroom soup, reserve a little and mix with 2 tbsps. of milk
salt & pepper on top

Put tater tots on, right out of the freezer, to cover top of hamburger. Brush soup/milk mixture on tater tots. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Brown tater tots.

CREAM CHEESE DANISH (from Mr. Food 3-4-00) 3-11-00

2 8 oz. cans refrigerated crescent rolls
1 large egg, separated
2 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup chopped pecans, optional
sifted powdered sugar, optional

Preheat oven 375°. Unroll 1 pkg. crescent rolls and press into a 9x13" greased pan to cover the bottom. Beat egg yolk, cream cheese, lemon juice. Pour over dough in pan. Unroll 2nd pkg. crescent rolls on wax paper and press or roll out. Put on top of cream cheese mixture and peel off wax paper. Whip egg white and brush over top dough. Sprinkle on chopped pecans. Bake 375° 25 minutes. Let cool and sprinkle on sifted powdered sugar.

APPLE WALNUT CAKE (requested, didn't give, found this one 1-26-99) 3-18-00 Top of page

1 can French apple pie filling
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 cup oil
¾ cup nuts

Preheat oven to 350°. Spread pie filling in 9"x13" pan. Combine flour, sugar, soda, and salt; sprinkle over pie filling. In a bowl, beat eggs, add vanilla, oil and nuts; mix well. Pour over dry ingredients in pan: stir until well blended. Smooth batter evenly in pan. Bake for 40-50 minutes. With a fork, prick the entire surface of the warm cake. Pour hot topping over cake and sprinkle with nuts.

Topping:

SOUR CREAM TOPPING (goes with apple walnut cake 2-26-99) 3-18-00

1 cup sugar cup
½ sour cream
½ tsp. baking soda

Combine ingredients in a saucepan. Heat until it boils, stirring constantly. Pour over warm cake.

BEEF AND GUINNESS STEW (foodtv.com 3-11-00) 3-18-00

 2 pounds stewing beef
 3 tablespoons oil
 2 tablespoons flour

CANDY APPLE PIE (from Channel 9) (3-1-00) 3-18-00

3 tbsps. sugar
1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
½ tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup butter

Mix together, press into bottom of 9 inch pie pan. bake for 16 minutes in preheated 375° oven. Add ¾ cup caramel ice cream topping ¼ cup chopped pecans and refrigerate.

5 granny smith apples, peeled & sliced
½ cup brown sugar
¼ tsp. salt
5 tbsps. butter

Put in saucepan, mix, cook 10-15 minutes until well blended, pour into crust.

In bowl:

8 ounces softened cream cheese
1 tsp. lemon juice
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well and put on apple mixture. Bake 350° for 30 minutes. Top with whipped topping and more caramel sauce.

PECAN PIE SQUARES (11-11-99) 3-18-00

Crust:
3 cups flour
½ cup sugar
½ cup butter or margarine, softened
½ tsp. salt
4 eggs

In a large bowl combine until course crumbs. Press into a greased 10x15" pan firmly and evenly to cover the bottom. Bake 20 minutes at 350°.

Filling:

1½ cups corn syrup, light or dark
1½ cups sugar
3 tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1½ tsps. vanilla
2½ cups pecans, chopped

In a bowl blend all except pecans. Add pecans. Spread over hot above crust. Bake 25 minutes 350° until set.

SOFT SANDWICH BREAD FOR BREAD MACHINE (mar/apr2000pg7 original 2-4-00) 3-18-00

1 cup water
¼ cup butter/margarine softened
1 egg
2 tbsps. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 cups bread flour
¼ cup dry milk powder
2 tsp. quick rise bread machine yeast

Layer ingredients in bread machine in order given. Bake per machine directions.

CRACKED SUGAR COOKIE 3-18-00

2 cups sugar
½ cup butter
½ margarine, lard or shortening
2 cups flour
¼ teaspoon salt
3 egg yolks
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cream of tarter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cream sugar, and shortening. Add egg yolks and cream some more. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Add flavoring and roll into small balls. Roll in sugar. Put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300° for 20 minutes.

HOW TO PREPARE HORSERADISH (from Doug Wagner's uncle Jack) 3-18-00

Peel. Cut horseradish into ½" pieces then put in food processor and grind put in bowl, add white vinegar and sugar to your taste and let set for 1 hour. Then put in blender and blend till fluffy white and put in jars and cover tight and refrigerate.

seven seas italian dressing

Toss with dressing and refrigerate overnight.

BREAKFAST PIZZA (7-22-99) 3-25-00

1 pkg. refrigerator crescents rolls
1 lb. sausage, browned and drained
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup frozen hash browns
4 eggs
½ cup milk

Open rolls lay side by side and roll or press into the bottom a jelly roll pan and slightly up the sides and Sprinkle on meat cheese and hash browns. Beat milk and egg together and pour over top. Bake 325° 20 minutes. Can put in onion and peppers.

BREAKFAST PIZZA (fruit) (1-30-92) 3-25-00

1 pkg. refrigerator crescents rolls
4 ozs. cream cheese, softened
½ tsp. vanilla
4 tbsp. peanut butter
1 medium banana or can use strawberries, kiwi or other fruit

Flatten rolls on a sprayed (greased) pie pan or jelly roll pan. Bake 375° 10 minutes. Mix cream cheese, vanilla, peanut butter together. Spread on top of crust when it is cooled and top with fruit. Can drizzle confectioners sugar frosting on top.

BREAKFAST PIZZA 3-25-00

2 tubes of refrigerator biscuits
2 lbs. of cheese mozzarella or colby or some of each
6 eggs
pizza ingredients, (hamburger, onion, mushrooms, black olives, sausage, whatever you prefer)

Brown and drain the meat of your choice. Smash biscuits side by side in a well greased jelly roll pan and form sides too. Pour in beaten eggs. Sprinkle on pizza ingredients and top with cheese Bake 400° 30 minutes.

CINNAMON ROLLS (2-28-00) 3-25-00

2 loaves frozen bread dough, let rise according to directions

Roll out the dough, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Cut into rolls.

Mix:

adding nuts if desired
1 pkg. vanilla pudding
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick margarine
3 tbsps. milk

Put the sauce in the bottom of 9x13 pan and put the rolls on top. Bake 350° 20 minutes.

AMMONIA CARBONATE SUGAR COOKIES 3-25-00

2 cups sugar
1 cup lard
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 heaping tsp. crushed ammonium carbonate
1 tsp. salt
2 cups flour

Mix and kneed well. Roll in balls. Dip in plain or colored sugar. Bake 325° until cracked and hollow. can use different flavorings. Its a old German recipe.

MOM WAGNER'S BREAKFAST SQUARES (mar/apr98pg2) 3-25-00

12 slices bread, crusts removed
6 slices American cheese
6 eggs
18 slices bacon (could use equal amount ham or sausages)
3 cups milk
½ tsp. salt

Cook meat; then chop. Butter a 9x13" pan. Butter both sides of each bread slice. Line bottom of pan with 6 slices of bread. Top each slice with meat and cheese, then top with remaining bread. (NOTE: you could use some vegetables if you want (mushrooms, olives, onions, peppers, etc.) Beat eggs with milk and salt; pour over bread and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325° 1 hour. Cut into squares, and serve.

CHEX MIX (SWEET) (1-22-99) 3-25-00

4 cups crispix
1½ cups mini pretzels
1 cup pecan halves
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup butter

Mix crispix, pretzels and pecan halves and set aside. Melt butter and stir in honey. Pour over pretzel mix put on greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350° for 7 minutes. Stir. Bake additional 6 minutes.

CINNAMON PARTY MIX (1-23-99) 3-25-00

¾ cup brown sugar
¾ cup butter/margarine
½ tsp. cinnamon
10 cups cereal
6 cups mini pretzels
1 can mixed nuts

Bring brown sugar and butter to a boil. Pour over remaining ingredients in bowl and bake uncovered at 350° on greased jelly roll pan 15 minutes. Stir. Bake additional 15 minutes.
