The Wapsipinicon River at Stone City

This picture of the Wapsipinicon was taken from the bridge at Stone City, looking down river. The remains of the railway bridge can be seen at the left and right. The General Store is just out of view to the left.

The river gets its name from two lovers, the brave warrior Pinicon and the indian princess Wapsi.
